Loosely based on Korean flick 'Seven Days', Jazbaa is an edge of the seat thriller that ensures audiences' attention captivity. Aishwarya Rai is Anuradha Varma, an ace lawyer who sees every case as it is sans any irrelevant prick of conscience. She feels no guilt in fighting a case for criminals, as long as they can 'afford' her.
A single mother, Anuradha is simultaneously raising her daughter Sanaya who gets kidnapped by a group of powerful people. For ransom, the abductors make Anuradha defend a rapist and murderer which leads her to even murkier territories. She finds an unlikely ally in tainted cop Yohan, played by Irrfan, who maybe a secret admirer to the beautiful lawyer.
Anuradha and Yohan are two different people – the former is hyper active and a bit impulsive and the latter a cool headed cop who mouths clap-raising dialogues. Both the characters don’t try to be the epitome of virtue; rather they are happy to be real and never shy away to show their innate grey shades.
