Cuban President Raul Castro met with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama during the UN General Assembly where they discussed the normalization of relations between the two countries. But it will be difficult to resolve two key stumbling blocks -the lifting the blockade and the return of the illegally occupied Guantanamo Naval Base- as long as Republicans maintain their control in Congress.
