Gaza Markets Empty Despite Holiday

High prices and a lack of cash are dampening Eid al Adha celebrations for Muslims on the Gaza Strip. Eight years of a tight Israeli blockade, three major Israeli offensives, the closure of crossings and unpaid salaries have worsened the situation of the people in the enclave. Although markets are full of goods, people only have money to buy chocolate, cookies and perhaps some clothes for their children. Citizens complain about high prices and black market goods that make it impossible to celebrate Eid al-Adha in traditional ways. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR
