Before it was even shown, footage from Nabil Ayouch’s film, "Much Loved", was stolen and leaked online, the director and lead actress received death threats and a social media campaign was launched for their execution.
"Much Loved" tells the story of four women working as prostitutes in Marrakesh. The director speaks to Eve Jackson about the reaction in Morocco, needing a bodyguard and how the film says essential things about the place of women in Arab society.
