Cloud Nine is an afrobeat instrumental that is dear to me. I have that sentimental attachment to it simply due to that fact that it is reminiscent of the New Generation Afrobeat that began 15yrs ago with the likes of Plantashun Boiz, PSquare, OJB, Styl Plus, Paul Play and more. Where love songs were the norm and inhibition of ones expressions were not thwart by the need to be accepted.
I created Cloud Nine with the intention of having an old school feel but still incorporating a modern edge. A mid-tempo instrumental laced the guitars, percussion, strings and synths Cloud Nine is not only infectious but can be a great addition to any project.
