Spring 2008, Ecrins-Mercantour Zone (French Alps)
Separatist Rebels Lead Commando Actions in The Mountainous Zones. The 27th Mountain Infantry Division Must control the Zone.
The 5th Combat Helicopter Regiment Handles Close Protection and Deep Strike Operations.
4 Targets and a Radar Were Destroyed by the Tiger Who Provided Substantial Fire Support.
This training was made in Preparation of 2009 Afghanistan operations including 11 helicopters (Tiger, Caracal, Cougar, Gazelle...)
