Talvar (English title: Guilty) is an upcoming Bollywood mystery thriller film directed by Meghna Gulzar.[1] It is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case, in which a teenage girl and her family servant were found murdered, and her parents were arrested for the murders. The film is based on the parents' account of the events, and builds a defense case for them.[2]
The film stars Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Tabu, and Sohum Shah in leading roles.[3] The film is produced by Junglee Pictures, the films division of The Times of India Group. Originally Nyodda, the film's title was changed to Talvar in February 2015.[4] The film's premiere is scheduled at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in September
