The row at Film and Television institute of India has escalated as the police raided the Pune campus in a midnight operation and arrested five students for allegedly rioting. This was done at the behest of FTII Director Prashant Pathrabe who said that the students had held him hostage protesting against ‘irrational and unjustified’ assessment of the incomplete diploma projects.
