JAH CURE live @ Main Stage 2015

The voice of Jah Cure is one of the most intense and evocative of the whole Jamaican scene and he really demonstrates this in his latest hits “Life We Live”, “That Girl” and “Wake Up”. His last album “World Cry”, 2012, is a great example of mixing Jamaican roots reggae music with American urban. In 2015 he will be releasing a new album.

His career began in the late nineties with some incredible roots songs, many of which were released on the label Harmony House owned by Beres Hammond. Some problems with the law slowed his career, but he returned on a high in 2004 with great songs like “Jamaica”, “Good Morning Jah Jah” and, above all, the poignant “Longing For” produced in 2007 by Don Corleon over the hit Drop Leaf riddim.

His collaboration with Junior Reid, Movado and Florida in “Hot Long Time” is one of the best songs of “The Universal Cure”, a work that marked the rebirth of this young singer. His romantic side was portrayed in a collaboration with Phyllisia entitled “Universal Love”.
