Two senior officials at Petronas charged with corruption

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has charged two senior officials working for the Malaysian oil and gas giant with corruption. Idris bin Suhuh, a senior manager at Petronas Carigali,was charged today with receiving RM403,000 in bribes.The accused is said to have used the money to purchase and renovate a house in Cheras, where he was caught this morning. The second suspect, Ishak bin Hashim, is charged with two counts of receiving bribes totaling RM22,800, along with another two counts for attempting to receive bribes.
