Herald to appeal Allah ruling, fears it will lead to blanket ban

Catholic weekly The Herald plans to lodge an appeal with the Federal Court so that it can use the word "allah" in it's publication to refer to God. Some Christian parties fear the ruling against the Herald will be used to stop the word "allah" being used at all by the non-Muslim public and in Malay-language bibles.
