Nancy Donohue

The late Nancy Donohue played physical therapist Nancy Bennet on The Doctors from October 1968-October 1969. In the 1970s, Nancy was felled by two tragedies, the death of her brother in a tragic racing accident and then she became disabled from a crippling illness that took away her acting career. She turned to playwriting. In these clips, Nancy talks about her art. Also featured is director Melvin Bernhardt, known best to daytime soap fans as a longtime director of Another World. Melvin directed Nancy's play The Beach House starring George Peppard and Swoosie Kurtz. This was taped in 1987, the same year that her Doctors co-star Peter Burnell (Mike Powers) committed suicide.
