Mexico City Prosecutors To Question Veracruz Governor

Activists, journalists and the general public in Mexico are dissatisfied with investigations into the massacre of photojournalist Ruben Espinoza, activist NadiaVera and three other women. Police are suggesting that it was just a robbery despite the victims’ revelations of being threatened by the governor. In a move possibly aimed at quelling protest, Mexico City prosecutors will travel to Veracruz to take testimony from Governor Javier Duarte. According to statistics, Veracruz is the most dangerous place in Mexico to be a journalist and Mexico the second most dangerous country in the world, only surpassed by Iraq. teleSUR
