Argentina: Scioli Comes Out Head in Primary Elections

The Presidential candidate for the ruling party in Argentina, Daniel Scioli, won the most votes in Sunday’s primary elections. Scioli received almost 39% of the votes with 97% of the votes counted. He came in 14 points ahead of his nearest rival, Mauricio Macri, the right-wing Mayor of Buenos Aires. The presidential elections are scheduled for October 25. Scioli has promised to push forward the changes initiated by President Cristina Fernandez and her late husband Nestor Kirschner. teleSUR
