Poor turnout at McDonald's protest

A protest planned in front of the American fast food chain McDonald's in Jalan Telawi Bangsar didn't go according to plan.

From noon police had set up blocks preventing cars from entering the road and around 20 police personnel were stationed at various areas around the block of shop lots in anticipation of a large crowd.

Instead two people showed up with posters of the Israeli flags in hand, which had writings requesting the public to step on them and take selfies of the action. According to protest organizer Faiz Mohd Nor the presense of the police was what deterred others from joining him in protesting.
