The results of European Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) research for smarter, safer and greener cars proves that ICTs can provide surprising possibilities for road safety, traffic management, reduction of road traffic's environmental impact, and increase of vehicles' energy efficiency. To coincide with the Intelligent Car Event, which will take place on 18/09/2007, and is being jointly organised by the European Commission and the European project PReVENT, the European Commission's audiovisual service is producing an infoclip which will include: - ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) World Congress: exhibition of technologically advanced cars; - BMW dynamic driving simulator; driving assistance at junctions; - Obstacle, bends and crash detectors for Volvo cars and trucks.
