El Salvador: 9th Bus Driver Killed by Suspected Gang Members

Street gangs are again threatening to shut down transport just as the country is recovering from last week’s forced stoppage. Suspected gang members killed a ninth bus driver in San Salvador on Wednesday, along with four passengers. Last week, criminal gangs imposed a transportation strike to demand their participation in government talks on security.
