Our first ORIGINAL music vid! If you’ve been through Singapore’s army, you’ll understand the importance of powdering yourself. For the ladies out there, you now know the secret behind the crisp clean smells of our Singaporean men when they return from NS, and the "bonding" that occurs between us men in uniform. So go powder your man now (or let him powder himself).
For the finer details, what this song is about is actually the ‘snap test’ that every Singaporean male goes through after performing a ‘powder bath’. This ‘powder bath’ involves powdering yourself down with medicated powder as a replacement for traditional showers when you are outfield. It’s surprisingly refreshing, especially with menthol powder, and I loved ‘em (and still do). In order to ensure that you have powdered yourself enough though, the instructor will routinely ask every trainee to pull their elastic waistband and ‘snap it back’ to check the powder cloud that forms after. If it’s a good cloud, then you’ve powdered enough. So simple and beautiful ;)
So remember, snap that.
