Shelby County Sinners ~ 21st Century Bail Out Blues

"Shelby County Sinners", a 3 piece group that has strains of Johnny Cash and the Tennessee two, Appalachian music and rock -n-roll.

Since their inception in 2011, the Shelby County Sinners have gone from doing occasional shows to being a sought after live act, drawing in listeners with their drummer-less style of music often compared to the early sound of Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two.

Their independently released EP, “6”, fully captures the band’s live act and highlights the percussive interplay between singer/songwriter Shelby Kelley’s acoustic rhythm guitar and Morrison Foster’s attack on the upright bass. Bringing the edge and color is Eric Grimmitt’s lead guitar. From this EP, the video for “21st Century Bail-Out Blues” was made.

The band has moved from opening slots for national touring bands to playing full capacity shows of their own at venues in and around the Indianapolis area, building a solid fan base of supporters along the way.

2015 will herald the release of the band’s first full length effort, introducing songs with a broader sound range and more of the smart songwriting that has defined the band from the start.
