How to make a Manhattan Cocktail with George Dickel Rye Whisky-Drinks Made Easy

Drinks Made Easy Presents-How to make classic Rye Manhattan Cocktail. The Manhattan Cocktail is a very popular drink with the Poser...er..Hipster Crowd. No one really knows exactly when or who developed the cocktail. However, it is agreed that it did originate on the island of Manhattan.
To make this drink you will need the following:
2 oz Rye Whiskey
1 oz Sweet Vermouth
2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
1 Luxardo Cherry
First, you will want to build the cocktail in a mixing glass filled with ice. Next, pour in your 2 oz Rye Whiskey, we used George Dickel, your 1 oz Sweet Vermouth, and your two dashes of Angostura Bitters. With a long spoon, give your mixture about 40 rotations or stirs. Place your Luxardo Cherry, or any Cherry you prefer, in the bottom of your presentation glass, grab your strainer (we used a Julep strainer) and pour your chilled elixir over it. And there you have it, a Classic Rye Manhattan Cocktail.
