La mise à l'eau à Lorient début juillet du monocoque Imoca Newrest-Matmut de Fabrice Amedeo. Il s'agit du plan Farr lancé en 2007 pour la participation de Loïck Peyron au Vendée Globe 2008-2009. Le bateau portait alors le nom de Gitana Eighty .
