Buenos Aires Mayoral Race to Go to Run-Off

Mayoral elections were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina yesterday. Horacio Larreta of the center-right PRO party won 45% of the vote, followed by Martin Lousteau of the moderate right-wing ECO party. President Cristina Fernandez' Front for Victory party came in third with 21% of the vote with Mariano Recalde as its candidate. As no candidate obtained over 50% of the vote, the top two contenders will run in a second round on July 19. Laureano Ponce reports from Buenos Aires. teleSUR
