Navsari : Any person will be tempted to buy a car used for a few months if it is offered for a less price. If the documents issued by the Road Transport Authority are correct, they will only be too happy to close the deal.
A fraud recently busted by the Navsari Police, the person purchasing a used car can go wrong even if all the documents are correct. By adopting a new modus operandi, selling stolen cars as new after changing their engine and chassis numbers. They also buy used and damaged cars from insurance companies, and at times, directly from car owners, and affix number plates taken from the stolen cars. They changed the chassis number, give the car a new coat of paint and sell them to unsuspecting buyers.
Navsari Police have busted the racket, the investigation is on.
