Affordable Housing Shortage and Child Poverty in Silicon Valley

As the housing prices surge in the Silicon Valley area, many people cannot afford basic housing needs with their modest salary. CNN recently had done a story regarding child poverty in San Jose and it's one of the most serious poverty region in the United States. Many children go home hungry and others do not even have a home to go to. What can we do to lessen this situation when we are living in one of the most expensive cities in the nation?
