In This Video we guide you through performing a PlayStation 4 PS4 full system backup to a USB storage device. Easy to follow.
Buy a USB Memory Stick:
Amazon.com: http://amzn.to/1RG1Uml
Amazon.co.uk: http://goo.gl/o55IML
Users without a PlayStation Network account can only restore their data to the original console that created the back up.
You'll need a FAT32 or exFAT-formatted USB device with plenty of free space. If you don't have enough room to back up everything on your drive, you can choose to not back up Application Data.
To back up your PS4's HDD:
Make sure you've synced your Trophies. Go to Trophies, press the Options button, and choose the Sync Trophies With PSN option.
Insert the USB storage device that you plan on using for the back up into one of the PS4's USB ports.
Go to Settings System Back Up and Restore.
Confirm which data you'd like to back up. If you choose not to back up applications, you'll need to download or reinstall them when/if you eventually restore with the back up you're creating.
