Solution Orchestra was founded in 1974 by bassist Roberto Rivera in the town of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Their sound was unique in using first three and then four trombones, aggressive music, and songs with humorous lyrics The band is known for its unique style, rhythm and a magnificent combination of Latin percussion and trombones which complement and are complemented by vocalists quality .
The excellent songs are chosen by the band director and bassist Roberto "Bola" Rivera. It is and has been one of the best orchestras of Salsa through the past 30 years. He has received several distinguished awards in Latin and international scenarios and has traveled worldwide. They achieved international fame with the hit "Wheel" and "Chiquito Corazoncito" in the 70s and 80s was fashionable in the Fania All Stars. This theme was sung by the young Frankie Ruiz, who later acquired own fame with Tommy Olivencia Orchestra and then with his own orchestra. In Colombia visited the cities of Cartagena, Medellin, Bogota, Cali and Barranquilla. They have also visited Spain in Europe.
