Denmark shifts right in knife-edge election result

It has been a knife-edge election in Denmark ending in a surprise result with the opposition centre-right blue bloc set to unseat the government of Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt.
With most of the votes counted Danish broadcaster DR.DK is announcing the return of former leader Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
Thorning-Schmidt’s centre-left bloc has been swept out of Christiansborg by the impressive result of the right-wing Danish People’s Party who appear to have come in second with 21 percent of the vote.
It may be Helle’s swan song, as she promised to step down should her party lose.
