Mexico: Conflicting Versions Emerge Over Michoacan Deaths

Contradictions and accusations continue to surface surrounding the deaths of 42 alleged drug cartel gunman May 22 in the embattled central western Mexican state of Michoacan. Authorities say the 42 died in a shootout with police, which also left one officer dead. Family members of the victims, however, say their loved ones were not connected to the New Generation drug cartel as alleged by authorities, and were executed after having been tortured. teleSUR
