'IAS officers dignity compromised'

In a statement to TIMES NOW, bureaucrat Anindo Majumdar hit out at the Delhi Government and said that the IAS officers had been humiliated and that their dignity had been compromised. Speaking out for the first time, Majumdar said, "There has been a lot of pressure... I was locked out of my office." The Delhi government, on Monday, locked Principal Secretary (Services) Majumdar out of his office for issuing an order notifying the appointment of Shakuntala Gamlin as acting chief secretary. Majumdar had issued the appointment letter following instructions from Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. IAS officers have had to bear the brunt of the tussle between the tussle between the AAP government and the Delhi Lt Governor Jung regarding the postings of bureaucrats, have resulted in IAS officers bearing the brunt.
