Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones separate

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are taking a little breather according to sources. The couple, married in 2000, claims they are "taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage" according to Catherine Zeta-Jones publicist.
The two have not been photographed together since April 22 when they attended the 40th Anniversary Chaplin Award Gala in New York City. It is said that Catherine Zeta Jones has been with the couple's two children, Dylan and Carys, in New York, while Michael Douglas has been on a friend's yacht in Sardinia.
The couple has been together through sickness and in health up until this point. Douglas, 68, battled and defeated throat cancer. Catherine Zeta Jones has also been battling Bipolar II disorder, she recently spent a few days at an unnamed mental health facility in order to deal with the stress from Douglas' illness and in preparation for her upcoming role in Red 2.
Luckily Douglas and Zeta Jones signed a prenup, but it's looking like Catherine is going to be the ultimate winner if the two actually head towards Splitsville.
