Most American Adults Have Tooth Decay

According to recently released data from the CDC, around 91 percent of American adults had cavities and 27 percent were living with decay that gone untreated from 2011-2012.

Cavities are very common among American adults. 
In fact, 91 percent of Americans between 20 and 64-years old had tooth decay in the period between 2011 and 2012, according to data recently released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 
Just over a quarter, or 27 percent, of adults had decay that had gone untreated.
