Father uses dog collar and leash to discipline child in Japan

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of confinement. Shogo Yamashita, faces charges for tying up his 3-year-old son tied around his neck by a dog collar.
Yamashita lives with his wife, also in her twenties, and son. He claimed that he couldn't stand his son leave his food all over the house. Then he came up with the idea of of disciplining his son by putting him on a leash made of a hook used to open and close windows.
His friend blew the whistle on his actions shortly after seeing Yamashita's treatment of the little boy. Yamashita told the cops that he started leashing his son since last summer in order to teach him not to mess up the room.
