Former NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez, already in jail accused of a separate murder, killed two men in cold blood after one of them spilt his drink in a Boston nightclub, prosecutors say.

It's alleged 24-year-old Hernandez and a friend were in the city's Cure Lounge nightclub when the they moved to the edge of the dancefloor. There a man named Daniel de Abreu accidentally bumped Hernandez, spilling the drink he was holding.

Abreu smiled only but offered no apology. Hernandez became agitated. There was no confrontation. He then had more drinks and watched De Abreu and his friends.

Later, Hernandez took a .38 revolver from the hood of his SUV. When Abreu and his friends left the club and got into a car, Hernandez was waiting.
He pulled up alongside the other car at a red light , leaned out the window holding his gun and yelled "Yo, what's up now?" followed by a racial slur.

Hernandez fired at least five times; witnesses reported hearing clicks as Hernandez pumped the trigger after the chamber was empty. Abreu, who was driving, was shot in the chest. Passenger Safiro Furtado, in the head.

Hernandez reportedly then told his friend "I think I got one in the head and one in the chest." Has pleaded not guilty to the killings.
