Naked truck surfer Alexander Werner causes chain reaction-accident in Taos, New Mexico

A naked man surfing on a pickup truck caused a chain-reaction accident that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.
The man, identified as Alexander Werner, 27, was spotted by a passing motorist surfing on top of a Ford Ranger as it drove along State Road 522 in Taos, New Mexico on Friday evening.
Werner fell of the truck and was lying on the side of the road when a motorcyclist approaching from the opposite lane slowed down to avoid hitting him. The motorcyclist was then hit by a woman in a Ford van and suffered a serious head injury.
A motorist who had earlier seen Werner truck-surfing and who also called police helped the driver of the Ford Ranger, Tashena Whittaker, put Werner in the truck.
Whittaker and Werner drove off but were stopped and arrested by a New Mexico police officer at State Road 522 mile post 14.
This was not Werner's first run-in with the law. He has prior convictions in Washington State for drunk driving, assault, and criminal mischief.
