A Brazilian man slapped what he thought was a possum, only to get a handful of 400 porcupine quills.
Antonio Rodrigues Mororo, 50, was having a party at his house. His son's pregnant wife was afraid to enter because there was an animal by the door, so Mororo went over to slap the animal, which he thought was an opossum.
It turned out to be a porcupine, and Mororo ended up with 400 porcupine quills in his palm.
He received three shots of anaesthetic at the local hospital and is now recovering after a tetanus shot and round of antibiotics.
