Zero Gravity Corporation has announced the world's cheapest zero g flights. The first flights will take off from Japan next January. The cheapest ticket costs US$2,700, compared with a ticket on Virgin's SpaceShipTwo that costs $250,000.

The plane follows a parabolic flight path to produce weightlessness. As the plane climbs towards the top of a parabola, passengers feel a force of nearly 1.8G. Once the plane starts to reach the top of the arc and begins descending, fliers experience freefall, enjoying 25 seconds of zero gravity. Each aircraft will perform the manoeuvre 15 times during the 90-minute flights.

The planes will be divided into three sections. For US$2,700, passengers will be put into the "Party Room" with 39 other people. For those paying US$6,800, passengers will join 27 others in the "Premium Zone," which includes the chance to play with items such as balloons and liquids. Twelve people who are willing to pay US$68,000 can enjoy a tailor-made experience in the VIP Room and will get a Breitling S3 ZeroG wristwatch and an S3 flight suit.

The service will start operations in Asia, then move on to the Middle East in April, followed by Russia and Europe in May. It will hit North and South Americans in the fall.
