Hong Kongers took the streets on July 1st with more than 500,000 marching in support of full democracy in Hong Kong. No doubt the incredible turnout has China's leaders shaking in their tanks.

The march was preceded by an unofficial referendum on universal suffrage which attracted more than 800,000 participants. In 2017 voters will elect the city's chief executive for the first time. Pro-democracy advocates want the right to nominate candidates, but Beijing wants to reserve the right to select candidates it deems loyal to the Communist Party.
On Tuesday, a sea of Hong Kongers, which police estimated at only 91,000, flooded Victoria Park as they marched their way peacefully to the city's financial district.

What will happen once the rest of China realizes that the power lies with the people and not the government hacks? Can the CCP keep it all together?
