Manhunt for Eric Frein enters 9th day, police find AK-47 and ammo in the woods

Police have entered the ninth day of a manhunt for Eric Frein, who allegedly attacked two Pennsylvania state troopers, killing one. Authorities say they are closing in on Frein, whom has been characterized as a self-taught survivalist and who is familiar with the region.

The manhunt includes hundreds of police from three states, armoured vehicles, trackers, helicopters and dogs, according to Fox News.

Searchers have employed a grid-search method in investigating cabins and wooden areas of the Pocono Mountain region, believing that to be the area where Frein has retreated.

Frein’s father has described him as a great marksman, who, “doesn’t miss”.
