Rhinestones, feathers, glitter galore - the Victoria's Secret models have crossed the Atlantic for the lingerie label's first catwalk show in London.
The 47 models are showing off the brand's most extravagant creations, including jewel-encrusted bras worth $2 million each and “angel wings” — the models are known as “angels” — made of gold.
The runway show was accompanied by a performance from Taylor Swift, who also performed at the label's show in 2013. One Direction's Liam Payne also attended and was accompanied by his girlfriend Sophia Smith on the pink carpet. Other celebs at the event included Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and his family, as well as singer Ellie Goulding and model and actor Tyson Beckford.
Backstage it was a pink affair where the models were getting ready for one of the most famous fashion shows in the world.
Lily Aldridge, one of the most recognizable “angels” and one of its veterans, said she's not as nervous as she is excited.
“There’s not better energy, you can be sexy and have fun and smile. You get to let your personality shine so I love that. I mean it’s the biggest fashion show in the world and I’m proud to be a part of it,” she smiled.
Hungarian model Eniko Mihalik on the other hand could barely sleep the night before.
“I’m absolutely nervous. I actually almost couldn’t sleep last night. I kept thinking about the backstage and the runway itself and what I’m going to do on the runway,” she said.
The show will air in 180 countries later in December.
