Micronation of Liberland is world's newest fake country on Serb-Croat border

A politician from the Czech Republic has declared the worlds newest micro nation on a three square-mile plot of land between the Croatian and Serbian border. Vit Jedlicka belongs to a Czech political party that advocates libertarian government and after much discussion with friends he decided to find a nation of his own.
He claims that as neither Serbia nor Croatia has officially claimed the plot of land in question he has the right to declare it as an independent nation. Naturally, neither of his two neighbors agree with his logic.
The area of the tiny new republic is part of several tracts of land whose ownership is disputed between Croatia and Serbia following the Balkan wars of the late 1990s. To this day there are several enclaves and a small island along the border whose ownership is in dispute.
Experts quoted in media sources however say the area of Liberland likely belongs to Serbia and Croatia has refused to recognize the micronation. Considering the president of Liberland does not have an army and is the nation's only citizen, it seems unlikely that his claim will be recognized anytime soon.
