Re-enacting an Afghan woman's lynching, and poetry in Iraqi minefields

The Observers present a collaborative weekly news show produced exclusively with content provided by amateurs.
Story 1: Afghanistan
Farkhunda is the name of a young Afghan woman who was killed by a mob in March. Because they thought - wrongly - that she had burned a Koran. The killing deeply shocked many Afghans, including our Observer Leena, an actress. On the 40th day after Farkhunda's death, she decided to reenact what happened.
In the reenactment, Farkhunda dies but then rises from the ashes like a phoenix. Leena's performance couldn't really bring her back of course, but it does appear to have provoked a reaction from the authorities. A few hours later, they announced they were bringing charges against 49 people, including 19 police officers who had stood by as Farkhunda was killed.

Sotry 2: Iraq
Young people in Iraq have grown up with war - first it was Iraq-Iran, then Iraq and the United States, then Sunni against Shia, and now the Islamic State killing everyone. Ordinary Iraqis are sick of it all, including our Observer Ahmed, and his fellow poets. The violence has driven them to take risks they probably shouldn't be taking.
