Cuban 5 to Visit Venezuela Monday

In their first international trip together, the Cuban 5 will visit Venezuela on Monday. The Cuban 5 were anti-terrorist fighters sent to the United States to monitor the activities of violent right-wing counterrevolutionary organizations in Miami. They were arrested in 1998 and following a trial marred by glaring irregularities, sentenced to long prison terms. In the end, they were all free by December 2014 as part of the thaw between the two countries. The Cuban 5 will visit six Venezuelan states on their visit. teleSUR
