Robert Downey Jr. interview: Avengers: Age of Ultron star walks out when asked about past

Robert Downey Jr. walked out on recent interview with Channel 4, which was supposed to be promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron, after he was asked personal questions about his troubled past.

Instead of asking how the Avengers plan to stop Ultron, the interviewer Krishnan Guru-Murthy asked Stark about a quote from five years ago regarding the actor's transition from swanky hotels to the penitentiary and back.

"You can't go from a $2,000-a-night suite at La Mirage to a penitentiary and really understand it and come out a liberal," the actor told the New York Times in 2010.

Stark batted away the personal question as well as a followup question about whether or not he was a liberal. "Are we promoting a movie?" he asked.

Krishnan should know these movies don't rake in a billion dollars a pop by pointing out dust on the hero's skeletons in the closet.

The interviewer then asked about his relationship with his father and that was it for Iron Man. "It's all getting a bit Diane Sawyer," Stark said on his way out the door.
