Cox Enterprises & The Trust for Public Land Celebrate Volunteers

In celebration of #NationalVolunteerWeek, Cox Enterprises and The Trust for Public Land want to thank the environmental volunteers who have been honored through the Cox Conserves Heroes program for creating, preserving or enhancing the shared outdoor places in our communities. Cox Conserves Heroes has honored more than 140 volunteers and takes place in Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Virginia. The program has donated nearly $500,000 to local nonprofits on behalf of the winner and finalists.
How does it work? The public nominates volunteers using a brief online form. Next, a panel of local environmental leaders selects three finalists who are profiled on video. The public then watches the videos, gets inspired, and votes for their favorite.
