00:00I'm a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I'm known as the ultimate lap dog and was originally
00:21made popular by the English royalty whose laps I used to warm. Look at this face. Clearly
00:28I'm great with children, dogs and even cats. I'm affectionate, playful and intelligent
00:34if I do say so myself. I would like to say that I'm 100% perfect, but I do occasionally
00:40chew things and sometimes I can be a little barky. With all that being said, I again refer
00:46to my adorable face. As my name suggests, I was the favourite breed of the English monarchy
00:53in the 1600s. I'm even named after King Charles II. He never went anywhere without his 3 Spaniels.
01:03We love to learn, so when you train us, please be straightforward and consistent. We're people
01:09pleasers and we have great memories, so we take well to training. We Cavalier King Charles
01:16Spaniels are a small breed, weighing only 10-18 pounds and growing to only 12-13 inches.
01:23We live about 9-14 years. I have long, gorgeous locks, which need to be groomed daily. My
01:30hair can get tangly and knotted. I need to get my exercise. Daily play and a short walk
01:37or holiday at an off-leash park is ideal. But I digress. I am the most adorable, loving,
01:45royal pooch in all the land. I am great with everyone, especially children. We're people
01:53pleasers with great memories and should be easy to train. I'll do well wherever you'd
01:58like me to live, even apartments. But please do remember that I love to go on walks and
02:04I love to play. Take these facts to heart and we should get along famously. Jolly good!
