Colombia: Victim of Acid Attack Speaks Out

Over the past decade 900 Colombians, the vast majority women, have been victims of acid attacks. Most of the victims, never see justice done. Such incidents are often treated as simple assault and battery cases. One victim, Natalia Ponce de Leon, who suffered burns on 24% of her body, has decided to speak out on sexism, gender violence, and impunity, writing a book about her experience. teleSUR
