Freak accident: man runs over own head with van, breaks every bone in his face in Aurora, Colorado
An Aurora man is in critical condition after reportedly falling outside of his moving vehicle and running over his own head.
The accident happened early Sunday morning outside the man’s home on East Nassau Drive. He was reportedly backing out of the driveway when he dropped a cigarette on his jacket. He jumped out and fell with his head underneath the moving vehicle.
His wife declined an on-camera interview, but she said the front tire rolled over his head and broke every bone in his face.
His adult son was in the passenger seat and was uninjured.
Neighbors said they saw the street was blocked off for several hours, but most were unaware of the accident.
The man’s identity has not been released. He is reportedly in ICU at a nearby hospital.
