CCTV camera footage shows SUV crashing into popular Houston restaurant during peak lunch hour

A Houston woman drove her vehicle straight into a popular restaurant Wednesday afternoon leaving multiple people injured.
The freak accident happened at about 2 p.m. at the Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet across from NRG Stadium.
An elderly woman in her 60’s was trying to park in front of the venue when she accidently hit her accelerator pedal instead of her brakes, slamming straight into the restaurant.
Four ambulances and two fire engines were called to the scene.
Asif Malik, a shop owner in the same shopping plaza was sitting with his banker when they both got dragged by the black Lexus SUV all the way to the buffet table.
Five customers were rushed to hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver walked away from the accident without any injuries and was not taken into custody.
The owner of the restaurant told officials it was a miracle that no one died in the incident.
