Vladimir Putin’s Siberian tigers have crossed into China and are eating Chinese goats

In the United States the American president releases a pardoned turkey. In Russia, however, President Vladimir Putin releases tigers.

In 2011 Putin released three Siberian tigers into the Siberian wilds. It appears the tigers been making little trips into China and having themselves a goat or two.

China’s Xinhua News Agency says at least 15 goats have been killed and that paw prints and teeth marks in the goat’s skulls confirm they were killed by Siberian tigers.

Russia says it will look into the matter and also voiced concern for the tigers’ well-being as the illegal trade in tiger parts remains prevalent in China despite attempts to stop the practice.
