Scumbag lawyer arrested for sex with 14-year-old forced into prostitution

A Philadelphia personal injury lawyer has been charged with having sex with a 14-year-old girl who was a victim of a human-trafficking ring that stretched from Pennsylvania to Georgia, authorities said.
Brian Meehan, 56, surrendered to police on charges that he had sex with the girl as many as a dozen times, sometimes during work hours at his One Penn Center law firm.
At at press conference, District Attorney Seth Williams said Meehan had told the girl he knew she was 14 and that he liked sex with young girls. He told the girl he had also had sex with a 12-year-old, Williams said.
Meehan’s arrest comes after a lengthy two-year investigation that included federal investigators from several states.
Williams said the investigation began in 2012 when the 14-year-old girl was reported missing. She was forced into prostitution by a neighborhood couple who pimped her out to Meehan on several occasions in exchange for money they owed him for previous legal expenses.
The teenage victim told a grand jury that Meehan offered her alcohol, which she refused, and Irish potato sweets that his wife had made for the office. He would talk about family trips, even saying that the two might travel together. She described the layout of the office, including the 12-floor conference room which locked from the inside. Prosecutors said Meehan had sex with the victim numerous times in the conference room.
Married and a father to three daughters, Meehan turned himself in to authorities Tuesday morning. He is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and other crimes.
